Description
The Danley PD3 Dowel Cradle – Galv is a high-performance load transfer solution engineered for precision and durability in slab-on-ground construction joints. Designed to minimise joint deflection and optimise slab movement, the PD3 system ensures superior floor performance in industrial, commercial, and warehouse applications.
At the core of the system is Danley’s tapered plate dowel, which delivers reliable load transfer while allowing controlled lateral movement. Each dowel is shrink-wrapped on one end, enabling free transverse movement as the concrete naturally expands and contracts—maintaining joint integrity and reducing long-term cracking.
The latest generation of PD3 cradles now features the patented RynoBar, eliminating the need to manually cut sacrificial retention bars before pouring. The RynoBar is engineered to break at <1 kN during early concrete shrinkage, significantly speeding up installation and boosting on-site efficiency.
Constructed from galvanised steel for corrosion resistance and longevity, the PD3 cradle ensures accurate dowel spacing, consistent dowel height, and dependable performance across demanding environments. The system is fully engineered to meet Super Flat Floor (SFF) requirements and complies with ACI360-R10 guidelines.
