Description
Cementaid Calcure B is an easy-to-use, water-based curing compound designed to protect freshly poured concrete from rapid moisture loss and surface cracking. The compound seals the surface of concrete with a clear, colourless membrane that retains curing moisture, without affecting the subsequent bond of cementitious toppings, render, lino, tiles, or other surface treatments.
Ideal for slabs, floors, pavements, vertical surfaces, working platforms, country roads, culverts, and locations where traditional curing methods are impractical or labour costs are high. Apply by spraying immediately following initial set at a rate of 1 litre per 5 to 7 square metres. A Rega pneumatic knapsack sprayer with No. 9, 10, or 11 fantail nozzles is recommended.
Note: Calcure B does not comply with AS 3799 or ASTM C309. For very high efficiency curing (over 90% as per AS 3799), consider Cementaid Calcure CR or Calcure C30.
Caution: Do not use Calcure B where surface hardeners or sealers such as Cementaid Diamite or Rokite are specified. In such cases, cure with water, damp sand, or building paper.
