Galvanised permanent formwork mesh creating strong, clean, reliable concrete joints.
Description
The Danley Systems Super-Rib Construction Joint Mesh is a high-performance permanent formwork solution designed to create strong, reliable construction joints in concrete slabs and walls. Manufactured from galvanised steel and stiffened with machine-formed ribs, Super-Rib delivers exceptional strength while ensuring poured concrete is securely retained. Once installed, it forms a fully interlocking surface that achieves a bond and shear key comparable to a professionally scabbled joint, without the labour or disruption associated with traditional methods.
Super-Rib is widely used in construction joints, stop ends, slab joints, and vertical wall applications. Its rigid yet workable structure allows contractors to install the mesh before reinforcement, with bars easily pushed through the sheet at a later stage. The material can be cut, bent, or shaped on site, making it ideal for complex profiles such as toggle joints or curved structures, including water-retaining applications where performance and accuracy are critical.
Because Super-Rib remains in place after the pour, there is no stripping, cleaning, oiling, or re-facing required. This permanent formwork design significantly improves site efficiency and eliminates the downtime associated with timber formwork and chemical retarders. The mesh also allows continuous visual monitoring of the concrete pour, reducing the risk of honeycombing and voids while ensuring a consistent, high-quality joint.
The Super-Rib Construction Joint Mesh weighs 3.39 kg/m², features a 0.40 mm galvanised steel thickness, and is supplied as a 450 mm × 2500 mm sheet. With a minimum curved radius of 500 mm along its length, it offers excellent adaptability for both horizontal and vertical concrete joints. Engineered for reliability, ease of use, and long-term durability, Danley’s Super-Rib system is the preferred choice for contractors seeking a faster, cleaner, and more controlled method of forming construction joints.
